A significant legacy

The death today of Sheldon Adelson, at the age of 87, sees the end of a remarkably successful career. He is widely credited with the successful integration of the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions (MICE) business into the Las Vegas gaming industry, a concept that he has successfully replicated in Macau and Singapore.

Despite some political uncertainties around US and China relations, the business has been left in good shape and in good hands. Experienced hand Robert Goldstein holds the senior positions (Acting Chairman, CEO, President and COO) and will ensure that Las Vegas Sands Corporation is not negatively impacted by the passing of its founder. It is fitting to acknowledge the success of Sheldon Adelson as he passes. Few individuals have made a bigger impact on the global gaming industry
